Pallet Town
Ok, you must be ready for the beginning of your training now, after you pick a name for your rival and your name, go and click on the computer in Ash's room. You should get a potion there. Leave your house and explore the town. After your fun of exploring the town try to leave Pallet Town. When you try to leave, Professor Oak will stop you and talk to you. He will take you to his lab and let you pick a pokemon. When you try to leave the lab your rival (Gary) will battle you. If you will great, but if you lose, sorry. Now just Leave the town and walk on route 1.
Route 1
If I was you I would talk to everyone for advise and some one will give you a potion. Try to make your pokemon's level at 5 you have a easy win against Brock.
Viridian City
Here is city that has a poke mart and a pokemon center. You should rest your pokemon at the pokemon center and go to the poke mart. At the poke mart the owner will ask you to bring something to Professor Oak. Now head back to Pallet Town.
Pallet Town
Now go to Professor Oak's lab and give him the thing you got from the poke mart. He will finally give you the pokedex. Go to your rival's house ( the house next to yours)and pick up a map, take it only if you think you need it.
Viridian City
Now stop by the poke mart and buy lots of poke balls ( about 10) and some potions (about 5). After you buy your things, go to the far west side of the town and stay in tthat little patch of green and try to catch a Nidoran.
Viridian Forest
In Viridian Forest look for a thing that look like poke balls and you will think they are pokemon, but no sorry, there're just items. Try to catch lots of pokemon here and build your Nidoran, if you tried to catch it at Viridian City. It is your idea if you want to stay and try to catch a Pikachu.
Pewter City
At Pewter City, they would not let you go ahead until you fight and beat Brock in the pokemon gym. You will probably have to go the build your pokemon up to 12 to beat Brock. If you beat him you will get the boulder badge and TM 34 (bide). Ohhh and after you beat Brock you must stock up on potions (about 15) and poke balls (about 10).
